Sandy is my newest raw food student. She’s a lovely woman who is enthused about raw foods and natural health. Besides raw foods, we share another passion…our dogs. 🙂 She has the most beautiful fluffy white dog named Cody who is as big as a small bear but is as gentle as a lamb. He melts my heart. What a sweetie. It’s been so fun for me to go to her house and spend time with Sandy and her cuddly canine.

During our first class, we took her Champion juicer out of the box (finally…after 10 years!) and made a delicious carrot soup with the juice and some awesome crackers with the pulp. In addition to that, we made zucchini pasta with marinara, carrot pate on bell peppers, and zucchini hummus. (See picture above.) For dessert, we made a delicious key lime pie….one of my favorite raw desserts ever!

Last week we tackled pad thai, chocolate mousse, chocolate cookies, and a soup with lots of greens. Mmmmm……..

I get to see her and Cody again this morning and am looking forward to more fun in the kitchen(and more snuggles from that white fluffy pooch!)
Today’s menu? Nut Burgers, Sunflower Seed Crackers and Carrot/Cashew Soup!
